Making better content
How I think about a film: the first frame, the story, the edit and what belongs on screen. Breakdowns of my work and ideas you can apply to yours.

For people making content, building something of their own, or bringing the two together. Each edition starts with a real question and leaves you with something to try.
How I think about a film: the first frame, the story, the edit and what belongs on screen. Breakdowns of my work and ideas you can apply to yours.
Decisions behind websites and products, from a clearer page to a smoother checkout. What I’m building, what I change and why.
Tools and workflows I’m trying in real projects. Where they help, where they fall short, and which parts still need a person.
A taste of the newsletter
A beautiful shot doesn’t always make the best opening. Before editing, I ask what the viewer needs to understand first. The same question helps when I build a homepage: what should someone know before they scroll?
Try this: choose two opening shots for your next film, or two headlines for your page. Write down what each one tells a stranger. Start with the clearer idea, then refine the craft.
This is the kind of connection I’ll explore here: a concrete decision, the thinking behind it, and a small experiment for your own work.
